~ Oscar Stivala ~
~ Lutz Schernek - Painter ~ Born in Germany and immigrated to the United States when he was very young, Lutz Scherneck spent most of his life growing up in the Mohawk Valley region of upstate New York. He graduated in 1976 from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting. Abstraction implies a departure from reality. Lutz's artwork starts from real-life experience, but it is never his intention to fool the viewer into thinking that it is in any way an illustration of nature. By not trying to deceive the viewer in this manner, his paintings become more real than abstract. Lutz does not paint subjects; he paints paintings.

Donna C. Veeder - Painter ~ Donna completed her BFA at the University of Georgia and has been a New York State resident since the 1960s. She continued her study of portraits and figures at Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute's School of Art for many years. Veeder, who works primarily in oil and pastel, is a well-known portrait and figure painter in central New York, gaining numerous prizes and honors in her field. Her works have appeared in shows throughout New York State. She is active in the arts organizations of this region, having formed the Van Hornesville Astists' Group in 1989. She is a member of the Cooperstown Art Association and the Glimmerglass Opera Guild, Cooperstown, Utica Art Association and the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts.
